You need to review your goals often and determine whether you are on target for achieving them.

When you set a goal to have a certain amount of money saved for your retirement, at whatever age you choose for that to be, you should be doing regular assessments to decide if you are getting closer to your goal, or whether you are getting there quickly enough.
